Santa Anna’s main home seems to have been just outside of Xalapa and is a wonderful place to visit when in the area. When we were in Coyolillo this past Spring, the govenor of Xalapa literally fly into the mountain village of Coyolillo on a shiny, high tech, red helicopter and persent a scale model of a new zocálo to the “royal court” of the “Fat Tuesday.” See photo –
